Common Name:   Coastal Plains Milk Snake, Spotted St. Mary's Co MD
Scientific Name:   Lampropeltis triangulum temporalis
Morph:   Spotted
Genetics:   Proven

DESCRIPTION
This is an usual trait. The bands that normally create the saddles or triads of a milksnake are fused together and form spots or "bulls eye". The spotting usually starts at the neck, but can be found anywhere on the snake.
The original Spotted animal was a male that was caught under a shingle pile (80 yards from 235) in 1992. I bred this male to another wild-caught female in 1998, producing all normal apearing offspring. In the last few years I bred two of the F1 females back to the spotted male. Each litter produces one to three spotted offspring.
