Common Name:   Corn Snake, Blood Red Miami
Scientific Name:   Pantherophis guttatus guttatus
Morph:   Blood Red
Genetics:   Proven Recessive Trait

DESCRIPTION
About 10 years ago when I first started out-breeding the Blood Reds, I bred them to a large robust line of Miami phase corns. I kept one of the first generation females, and started breeding back her offspring to her. Some of the Blood Reds that were produced had lots of grey between the saddles and head. I was not very happy with the looks of them and for the first few years sold them as normals! Later on I decided to keep one to see what it looked like... This is the animal at 2 years of age.
